James Lee Reinhardt

James Lee Reinhardt, 35, passed away December 20, 2020 at Sanford USD in Sioux Falls of natural causes. James was born on February 23, 1985 in St. Paul Minnesota.

James grew up and attended school in Lino Lakes, Minnesota. When he was 19, he moved to Sioux Falls. He worked at Showplace for 17 years; a career he took great pride in. He made many life-long friends there. He will be missed by all at Showplace.

James loved music; both listening and writing. He wasn’t a fan of country music, but loved Johnny Cash. He was also a brilliant artist.

James was a wonderful human being and had a deep love of family. He kept constant contact with his mom and adored his grandparents. He loved his dogs. He had an amazing sense of humor. James was the type of person that wasn’t happy unless all his friends and family were.

In his last act of the giving man he was, James donated his heart, lungs and kidneys so some people could continue living.

James is survived by his mother: Heather Johnson; sister: Jessica Reinhardt; brother: Joe (Sharla) Reinhardt; uncle: Scott (Kim) Johnson; nieces: Ava and Emma; nephews: Ayden, Jayden, William and Hunter; grandmothers: Rose Johnson and Mary Reinhardt; friend: Brian Goebel; girlfriend: Isabel Diaz; James was Nano to her children: Yaretzy and Enzo; and extended family: Alejandro (Kelsey), Michelle (Ramiro), Amanda Rienhardt and Dan Payle. James was preceded in death by his father: William Reinhardt; and grandfathers: Don Johnson and Richard Reinhardt.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 2, 2021, 1:00 PM at Barnett-Lewis Funeral Home with a Funeral Service at 2:00 PM.
