Stephen Michael Shields, 60, passed away January 2, 2021 in Sioux Falls. He was born to James and Yvonne (Hill) Shields on April 24, 1960 in Sioux Falls.

Steve grew up in Sioux Falls. He graduated from Washington High School in May of 1979. He was very kind-hearted and loved helping people. He really loved his parents and he spent his later days living with and helping them.

Steve was also a classic car buff. Over the years, he entered his cars in competitive shows winning several trophies and ribbons. He enjoyed photography and fishing. One of Steve’s sisters was always baffled when he would use a safety pin to catch large bullhead fish!

Steve leaves behind his mother: Yvonne Shields; two sister: Kim Carlson and Becky Crawford; a daughter: Stephanie; four nieces: Shawntel, Shavon, Maria and Brandy; two nephews: Michael and Robert; plus a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father: James Shields; and a brother: R.J. Shields.

Steve, you are loved …You will be missed of us all!

Memorial Service will be Saturday, January 16, 2021, 12:00 PM at Faith Temple Church.
