Anne Marie Frankman

Anne Marie Frankman, 76, passed away December 24, 2021 at the Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls. Anne was born on May 25, 1945 to Paul and Aileen “FiFi” Peterson in Sioux Falls.

Anne attended Cathedral Schools graduating from O’Gorman High School in 1963. She received her R.N. through Presentation College. She worked at McKennan Hospital in several units. She was united in marriage to Bill Frankman on December 27, 1966. Together, they raised three children.

Anne was a dedicated wife, mother and R.N. Bill always thought Anne was a true professional nurse working at McKennan Hospital, as well as in organizing the Planet Heart Program at Avera Heart Hospital of South Dakota and the Cardiac Rehab Program at North Central Heart.

Anne and Bill were extremely supportive of each other in their educational, professional and family lives.

Anne is survived by her husband: Bill; children: Angela (Jeff) Westwick, William III (Renee), and Melissa Frankman; grandchildren: B.J., Nathan, Kristen, Kaleb, Trevor and Owen; two brothers: Lauren and Gerry; and two sisters: Mary Lou and Teresa.

A Scripture Service will be Saturday, January 8, 2022, 1:00 PM at Barnett-Lewis Funeral Home with visitation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to scholarships for nursing students. Masks are required. barnett-lewis.com.
