Sharon Rae Engberg 01-11-2022
Sharon Rae Engberg passed away January 11, 2022. She was born August 22, 1943, in Colman, South Dakota, to Herman and Laura Arnilda (Hanson) Kroger. She was united in marriage to James G. Engberg and had five children. They raised their family in Sioux Falls, where they shared many good times with their children and grandchildren.
Professionally, Sharon was a loan officer at Wells Fargo Bank for over twenty-five years. She enjoyed helping people with their finances and providing loans for those in need. Outside of work, she was incredibly creative and enjoyed writing and drawing. She was a gifted poet and wrote many children’s stories and poems. She was also a talented seamstress and sewed beautiful clothes and aprons.
She was dearly loved by her children and grandchildren, to whom she gave so much of her time and treasures, and not a day will go by that she won’t be missed. She had an indelible spirit that will live on in the many lives she touched.
Sharon was proceeded in death by her parents, six brothers, one sister, and beloved husband. Those left to cherish her memory are her children Tamara (James) Hanscom, Sandra (Greg Kneip) Robar, James (Fabiana) Engberg, Penny (Byron) Dose, and Mary (Quintin) Honerman; her thirteen grandchildren; and her seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation with family present will be Friday, January 14, at St. Michael Church at 12:00 PM with Mass OF Christian Burial following at 1 PM.
