Dorothy Christopherson

Dorothy Christopherson, 99, passed away January 23, 2022 at Touchmark at All Saints having been a resident there only since September. She was born November 20, 1922 in Knob Noster, Missouri to Harvey and Nadine (Chalfant) Emig.

Dorothy was united in marriage to Clarence Christophersonon August 10, 1944 in Kansas City, Kansas. He preceded her in death on January 5, 2016 after 71 and a half years of marriage.

Dorothy work in Defence Plants in Kansas City, MO and worked at the Russel Stover candy factory. In 1947, they movved to Sioux Falls where she worked for Manchester Biscuit Company for a number of years.

Dorothy enjoyed fishing and traveling, and visiting all of South Dakota.

Dorothy is survived by her sisters: Helen Ann Thompson and Mardel Hill; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers: Kenneth and Vernon Emig; and sisters: Lois Lane and Ruby Huffman.

To honor Dorothys’ wishes, no Funeral Service will be held. A private family Committal Service will take place.
