Sean Patrick Kappenman ‘Kappy’, 47, passed away on February 9, 2022 Sanford Hospital after battling a prolonged illness. Sean was born in Sioux Falls on October 28, 1974 to William and Lois Kappenman.

Sean loved being a general laborer and his fondest job was working alongside his brother. Sean was known by many and enjoyed being social with many friends, enjoyed listening to country music, and was an avid fan of Norte Dame football. 

He will always be remembered by his mother Lois (Kappenman) Misar; step-father: Robert Misar; brothers: Cuyler (Melissa) Kappenman, Morgan (Becca) Kappenman, Dan (Jade) Casper; and sister: Tobi (Michael) Baker; his wife: Becky Kappenman; and best friend: Trudi; step-brothers: Brian Misar, and Dave Misar; step-sisters: Deb (Tom) Jones, Sheila (Rob) Bryant, Kathy (Pat) Butkovich, and Beth (Ron) Yauslin; 16 nieces and nephews; and 3 great-neices and nephews. Sean was preceded in death by his father: William Kappenman; aunt: Mary Ann Misar; grandparents: Leo (Teresa) Kappenman and John (Thelma) Linder.
