Margaret Ann Hanneman

Margaret Ann Hanneman died Sunday, April 26, 2009 at the Sanford Foundation Hospice Cottage in Sioux Falls. Margaret was born July 17, 1925 in Sioux Falls. She graduated from Cathedral High School. She was married to Russell Hanneman on July 17, 1943. They lived in Sioux Falls until moving to Wall Lake in 1983. Margaret was a member of St. Michael Parish and the Catholic Daughters of America. She was a past president of the Altar Society at the church of St. Mary. Margaret had a special love for her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. An unlimited supply of candy could be found by all children visiting Margaret’s house. She shared her love of cooking by hosting beautiful Sunday dinners for family and friends at the lake. Grateful for having shared her life are her daughters: Colleen (Wayne) Boddicker, Franktown, CO and Mary Pat (Jim) Bones, Chancellor, SD; a sister: Helen Kunkel, Sioux Falls; a niece: Mary Helen (Michael) Breci; four grandchildren: Sarah (Matt) Hema, Scott (Jenna) Boddiker, Matt Bones and Katie Bones; two great-grandchildren: Kelley and Madison Hema. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russ in 2005. Visitation will be Wednesday, 6 PM at Barnett-Lewis Funeral Home with a Scripture Vigil at 7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, 10:30 AM at St. Michael Parish.
