Joseph Frederick Huff

Joseph Frederick Huff, 91, passed away in the comfort of his home in Sioux Falls on January 31, 2024. He was born on March 23, 1932 to William and Beulah Huff in Kansas City, MO.

Joe owned and operated the Trading Post Pawn Shop in Sioux Falls. He enlisted in the Navy in 1951 and was a Torpedo Man on the USS Blue. He met the love of his life, Mary Caruso and was united in marriage on December 14, 1951.

Joe enjoyed hunting, fishing and was part of the FOPA and police reserve. He was a proud Veteran of the Navy serving in the Korean War. He was a very humble man and family was the center of his life.

Joseph is survived by his daughters: Marilee Kontz (Bruce Livesay) and Vicki Hayes; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren with one on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife: Mary; two brothers; two sisters; a son: Joseph V. Huff; a daughter: Michele Rausch; and a granddaughter: Jessica Kontz; and a son-in-law: Patrick Hayes.

Visitation will be Friday, February 9, 2024, 12:00 noon, at Barnett-Lewis Funeral Home with family present.
