Jeffery John Wyant

Jeffery John Wyant, aged 65, passed away on July 22, 2024, in Sioux Falls, SD. He was born on December 30, 1958, in Sioux Falls. He was a devoted family man known for his wit, caring nature, and kindness.

Jeffery proudly served as a Minnehaha County Deputy Sheriff as well as serving in the Air National Guard, dedicating himself to the values of duty and service. He fulfilled his role with dedication and honor.

He graduated from Washington High School and remained active in his community throughout his life.

Jeffery is survived by his loving wife: Cindy; his children: Jeremy (and daughter-in-law Wendy), Jessica, and Jennifer; grandchildren: Daysha, Kellan, Anessa, Jasmine, Keira, Dominic, and Drea; he also leaves behind his siblings: Jim, David, Linda, Kathy, Debbie and Don (Junck). His parents George Wyant and Helen Scott, and his grandparents preceded him in death.

Jeffery was an enthusiastic supporter of the Kansas City Chiefs, an avid model builder, hot wheel collector, and enjoyed fishing. He also played on a darts team and was a regular at bingo nights, sharing joy and laughter with all around him.

Services will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at Barnett-Lewis Funeral Home in Sioux Falls, SD. Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM with a  Memorial Service at 6:30 PM. Barnett-Lewis Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Jeffery's life and legacy will be remembered by all who knew him as a pillar of strength, love, and humor.
