Mark Jensen 12-29-2024
Mark V. Jensen, son of Monroe and Ardell (Helland) Jensen was born April 18, 1957 in Lake Preston, SD. In the early 60’s the family moved to Sioux Falls SD, where Mark attended Washington High School.
Mark moved to the Arizona Phoenix area in the early 80’s. This is where he met his soul mate Peggy. They were united in marriage September 9, 1983 and then again in 2023. Mark and Peggy returned to Sioux Falls in 1991 to be closer to their parents. Much to their joy that same year their son, Tim was born.
Mark joined Dakota Riggers over 25 years ago, it was an industry he enjoyed and was very capable both in his technical skills along with and his sales capabilities. He really enjoyed working for Dakota Riggers, the owners took great care of Mark and all their employees. His co-workers got used to his sense of humor and was an entertaining and fun environment most of the time.
Mark was a long-time member of the International Norton Owners Association, along with the Antique Motorcycle Club of America. Attending annual rallies across the US along with many other road trips to races, swap meets, and events. Mark developed many friendships through the years with the annual events and road trips all associated with his love of Norton's and antique British bikes.
Mark was an avid German Shepard lover and raised 7 over his lifetime. There will be a happy pack of them to greet him at the Rainbow Bridge.
Mark is survived by his wife: Peggy; his son: Tim (Miranda) Jensen; and granddaughter: Ava; siblings: Dan Jensen and Laurel (George) Riter; and many nieces and nephews and oh so many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be Friday, January 3, 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Barnett-Lewis Funeral Home.
