Anthony "Tony" Zimmer

Anthony Gerard Zimmer passed away at the age of 60 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, on January 27, 2025. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, on Sunday, October 25, 1964.

Tony traveled to South Dakota to visit his brother George. While there, he met the love of his life, Vicky. At one point, he placed shingles in her car, causing her to wrap his truck in Seran wrap. Shortly after that, they fell in love and had 4 children; Anthony Jr., Destoni, Karl, Noah. Additionally, he has a step-daughter, Shianne, and a step-son, Devon.

Tony was not a typical guy; he had a big personality. He was hilarious and he would always crack jokes, no matter the circumstances. He loved watching the Chicago Bears and he was deeply connected to his hometown embracing his sports teams, Chicago-Style pizza, and overall culture. He was a warrior who always got back up after setbacks. Additionally, he had a

passion for roofing and even started his own company, A to Z Roofing.

He was the beloved child of John and Nancy Zimmer. He is survived by his 5 children: Anthony Zimmer Jr., Destoni Zimmer, Karl Zimmer, Noah Zimmer; and his stepdaughter Shianne Cass. His sisters: Julia (Bob) Lawler, Maria (Jesse) Fleming, Theresa (Gerard) Cologrossi, Nancy (Mitch) Mstoski, and Majella (Keith) Roberts; His brother Joey (Julie) Zimmer; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Nancy Zimmer; his step-son Devon Jones; and his brothers: John, Ralph, Patrick (Lisa Bultena), Karl (Karol), Gerard, and George (Jennifer) and his nephew Timmy Nelson.
