Daniel Joseph “Budd” Crowe 05-06-2025
Daniel Joseph “Budd” Crowe was born April 20, 1961 to Robert and Janet (Rebnord) Crowe.
After extended years of declining health, on the morning of May 6, 2025 at 2:55AM, Dan was called home to join his lost loved ones in heaven.
Dan was employed at many of the construction trades and acquired many lifelong skills. He put his hand to siding, roofing, flooring, and drywall, as well as door and window installation. He was especially skilled with concrete and ran his own business for several years.
When family or friends needed help with any of those tasks, he would be there. It was best to stand back and watch him work, but if one felt they had to help he would assign appropriate tasks. Dan would help anyone in any way he could. If he had money and you needed it, it was yours. If you needed a place to stay, he would give you his bed and sleep on the couch. That is the man Dan was, and all those who knew him would agree, he did more for me than he ever asked of me.
A good man with a big heart that just wanted everyone around him to find the joy in life that he knew. We could all learn from his style of friendship. His long list of friends are like brothers to him, and he was a brother to them.
Dans favorite thing to do in life was to have friends over. He would have a campfire with food and beverages and a lot of good laughs. That was what made life amazing for him. The last couple years were making him weaker, but he still had a campfire going most of the time.
Recently it was just Dan with Theresa, the love of his life. They enjoyed those many moments of loving, caring closeness. The love and care that Theresa gave Dan, was what allowed him to be at peace when the illness took him. As Dan put it, to be with his Mom and Dad. Dan will be missed by all who knew him.
Dan is survived by his one son: Aaron, that he held the deepest pride and love for, of Sioux Falls, the love of his life: Theresa McDonnell, and her children: Shane, Jesse, Nicole and Dustin; 9 grandchildren; brothers: Mike (Jean) Wagner SD, Bob (Kathy) Brandon SD, Bill Sioux Falls, Roger Sioux Falls, Jeff (Brenda :d:) Flandreau SD; and sisters: Cindy Wyant (Jeff :d:) Sioux Falls, and Becky Miller (Clarence) Hardwick, MN. Also, countless aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends that will miss him dearly. Dan was preceded in death by his Mother and Father and one very close friend, cousin Eddie Crowe.
