Dorothy Marie Adams, 87, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2009 at the Good Samaritan Village in Sioux Falls. Dorothy was born on September 3, 1922 in Mankato, Minnesota to Emil and Susan (Sullivan) Hassing. She is survived by four children: John Jr., Sioux Falls, David (Yvonne) Adams, Ozark, AL, Dollie Stansbury (special friend: Terry Stoakes) and Jerry, all of Sioux Falls; 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Dorothy was a business partner with her husband in the excavating business for 25 years and was a devoted homemaker. She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church. She was a lifetime member of Weight Watchers. Visitation will be Tuesday, 6 PM at Barnett-Lewis Funeral Home with a Scripture Vigil at 7:30 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, 10 AM at St. Therese Catholic Church.
