Kathy (Kathaleen) Marlis Coughlin, 62, died Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at the Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls, SD. Kathy was born October 5, 1946 to Thomas J and Agnes M. (Welch) Freeman in Rapid City, SD On April 1, 1969 Kathy Married John Patrick Coughlin at the old St. John Catholic Church in Rapid City, SD. Along with her kids, Kathy's greatest joys was working as CCD director at St. Josephs in Corpus Christi, TX and most recently working at Hoversten Orchards in Brandon, SD. Kathy is survived by her husband Pat of Brandon and five children: Mary (Nikki) Coughlin-Julian of Iowa City; IA. Casey (Kris) Coughlin of Oologah, OK; Tim Coughlin, and Sean Coughlin, both of Sioux Falls, SD; and Rose (David) Kramp of Brentford, SD. She had 13 grandchildren; Taylor, Timmy, John, Keegan, Skyller, Erinn, Dylan, Riley, Matthew, Cadence, Issabella, Christian, and Sophia. She is also survived by her siblings, Diane Smith, Jerry (Annette) Freeman, Judy Perigo, and Eleanore (Richard) Diamiear. Along with many nieces nephews and many other family and friends. Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, three siblings, Joe Freeman, June Larsen, and Bob Freeman, along with a brother-in-law Keith Smith. Visitation will be Monday, 5PM in our chapel with family present at 6 PM, a Scripture Vigil at 7 PM followed by the Rosary. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe.
