Donna Bowen

Donna L. Bowen, 70, was called to our heavenly father on July 2, 2007. Donna was born August 26, 1936 to Tilmen R. and Gertrude M. Nyhus in Dell Rapids, SD. Donna was a graduate of Dell Rapids St. Mary's High School and Presentation School of Nursing. Donna spent forty-four years in the service of others in the healthcare field in the Sioux Falls and Mitchell areas. She was united in marriage to George T. Bowen in 1958. They were blessed with thirty-four years together until his passing in 1992. They are now joined in eternal life with Donna's parents and little sister Vicki. She is survived by daughters Tami (Bill) Pratt of Omaha, and Timberly Swier of Sioux Falls, and son Richard (Stephanie) of Harrisburg. She will be dearly missed by Sisters Marilyn, Judy, and Jean, as well as grandchildren Megan, Justin, Whitney, Sean, Ryan, Tyler, Carter, and Aubrey. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made in memory of Donna Bowen at Avera McKennan Foundation, P.O. Box 5045, Sioux Falls, S.D. 57117-5045 Visitation will be Thursday, 4 PM at Barnett-Lewis Funeral Home with a Scripture Vigil at 7 PM followed by The Rosary. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, 11 AM at St. Michael Church.
