John David Roberts

John D. Roberts, 82, passed away December 4, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Center in Sioux Falls after a long battle with cancer. He was born on July 9, 1928 to Eugene and Sadie (Martin) in Sergeant County, North Dakota. John was a twenty-year Navy man. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Meyer in 1972. They had a good life. Dorothy passed away in 2007. John enjoyed making jewelry, wine, jams and was an avid wood worker. John is survived by his sister: Helen (Dick) Smith; nieces: Pattie Greenfield and her family, Vickie Jacquot and her family, and Connie Eidy and her family, and other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Dorothy Trebwasser and a brother Bernard. Visitation will be Monday from 5 PM to 8 PM at Barnett-Lewis Funeral Home with family present from 6-8 PM. A Funeral Service will be Tuesday, 10:30 AM at Barnett-Lewis Funeral Home with burial to follow at Hills of Rest Memorial Park.
