Monica Marie Stanga

Monica Marie Stanga, 76, passed away October 19, 2007 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Monica was born on June 28, 1931 to Clifford and Myrtle (Thompson) Carey in Canova, South Dakota. She graduated from Canova High School. On December 13, 1950, Monica was united in marriage to Carol Stanga in Colorado Springs, Colorado. They moved to Sioux Falls in 1952. She was a member of Christ The King Church, Sertoma Club, and bible study. Monica is survived by her husband: Carol; son: Michael (Patty) Stanga of Midland, MI; daughters: Cindy Czerny of Sioux Falls, SD and Kim (Todd) Sergeant of Brandon, SD; brother: Charles (Jan) Carey of Sioux Falls, SD; sisters: Myrna (Duane) Root of Muskegon, and Maureen (Irv) Ebmeier of Beresford, SD; nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday at 4 PM at Barnett-Lewis Funeral Home with a Scripture Vigil at 7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, 10 AM at Christ the King Church.
