Delores Huntimer

Delores "Dee" M Huntimer, 67 of Freeman, passed away Dec. 28, 2007 at the Freeman Regional Hospital. Delores M. (Cornell) Huntimer, daughter of Roy Cornell and Magdalen Cornell-Steichen, was born on March 19, 1940. She grew up in Emery and graduated from St. Martin's in 1958. She married Frederick Huntimer on September 21, 1959. They had 9 children in 45 years of marriage. Delores was a member of the St. Michael Parish of Sioux Falls. After the passing of her husband, Fred, she relocated to Freeman, SD. Delores was an avid card payer and loved spending time with her family. She spent many weekends watching her children play softball, husband umpiring and fishing. She is survived by her children, Barb Brown, Hartford, Lori Huntimer, Freeman, LeRoy (Melinda) Huntimer, Sioux Falls, Patty (Terry) Miller, Emery, Betty (Randy) Goehring, Freeman, Chuck (Angie) Huntimer, Sioux Falls; 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick, her parents, Roy and Magdalen Cormell-Steichen, step-father, Leo Steichen, three children, Julie Lowe, Steven and Sara Huntimer Visitation will be 4 -8 pm at Barnett-Lewis Funeral Home with Scripture a Vigil at 7 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 am Thursday, at St. Michael Church, Sioux Falls, with burial at St. George Cemetery, Hartford.
