Patricia A. Kleinsasser

Patricia A. Kleinsasser, 78, died on November 14, 2008 at the Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls after a long brave battle with cancer. Patricia was born in Great Falls, Montana on December 23, 1929 to Bernard and Cecelia Ford. She was united in marriage to Johnny E. Kleinsasser on September 3, 1949.Patricia graduated from Yale High School in 1947. After receiving her teaching certificate Patricia taught in rural Beadle County one room school houses for a time. She then was employed by Montgomery Wards in Huron before moving with her family to Sioux Falls in 1961. She was then employed by Michael's and Burkes Clothing Stores for 23 years in various positions. She retired as the buyer for the boys department in 1985 due to disabilities. She was a long standing member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and also an active member of Mended Hearts. She enjoyed spending time with and cooking/entertaining for her family and many friends. Patricia was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. Patricia is survived by three children: Kathy (Mike) Reisch, Brandon, SD; Kevin (Nora) Kleinsasser, Omaha, NE; Kent (Patty) Kleinsasser, Crooks, SD; nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Rita Kolousek, Wessington Springs, SD, Carol Ford, Sioux Falls; two brothers, James (Darlene) Ford, Las Vegas, NV, Dennis (Mary) Ford, Sioux Falls; and many nieces and nephews. Patricia is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny; parents; three brothers (Jerry, Earl, Gene) and one sister (Bonnie). Visitation will be Monday, 4 PM at Barnett-Lewis Funeral Home with family present at 6 PM, with a Scripture Vigil at 7 PM followed by the Rosary. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, 10 AM at St. Joseph Cathedral.
