Timothy John Smith

Timothy John Smith passed away on December 14, 2008 at Sanford Health Systems in Sioux Falls. Tim, the son of Frank and Elizabeth (Ellwein) was born on April 14, 1951 in Yankton, SD. He graduated from Yankton High School in 1969 and then from the University of South Dakota in 1973 with a Business Degree. He was a sales representative most of his life with the most recent being with General Electric Medical Sales. Tim was united in marriage to Teresa Tompt on June 19, 1976. He was a member of St. Michael Parish. Tim is survived by his wife: Teresa; sons: Sean (Holly), Jackson, MN and Steve (fiancée, Julie Zimmerman), Vermillion, SD; brothers: Jim (Gerri) Smith, Sioux Falls, SD, Tom (Carol) Smith, Silver Springs, MD; sister: Mary Beth (Eric) Ludwig, Orlando, FL; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother: Joseph. A Memorial Mass will be Thursday, December 18, 10:00 AM at St. Michael Parish.
