Dennis Dean Tate

Dennis Dean Tate, 83, passed away August 20, 2020 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. He was born on November 11, 1936 in Worthing, South Dakota to Lawrence and Ilene (Stengle) Tate.

Dennis graduated High School from Hartford SD. He was united in marriage to Doris Ann Matthies June 21, 1957. He worked in sales and service for industrial products until he started his pool league in 1990 for 22 years. 

Dennis is survived by wife: Doris; children: Douglas (Michelle) Tate, Tacoma, Washington, Denise (Lyle) Schutte, Dawson, Minnesota, Dwayne (Linda) Tate, Worthing, SD, David Tate, Luverne, Minnesota, Doreen (Brad) Kohlhof, Sioux Falls, SD, Darrin (Sandy) Tate, Tea SD, and Danette (Gerry) Krumrei, Sioux Falls, SD; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a brother: Randy (Margo) Tate. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Ilene.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 23, 5:00 PM at Barnett-Lewis Funeral Home with a Scripture Vigil at 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, August 24, 10:00 AM at St. Katharine Drexel Church. Masks and social distancing are encouraged.
